According to an Environmental Working Group (EWG) household cleaning product review, 53% of the products contained known carcinogens and hormone disruptors like formaldehyde and chloroform. The sad truth is that most of the household products available at our local Target and grocery store are full of chemicals that can negatively impact our health. It may not be immediate but the cumulative effect on our bodies can show as we get older.
Fortunately, it is easy to make your own products that are both safe, effective, and inexpensive. This do-it-yourself (DIY) all purpose cleaner is a product I’ve been making for years. It works well in kitchens and bathrooms. You can add other essential oils like lavender, lemongrass, or rosemary for other scents. Give it a try.
